About Danielle Hangen
Danielle, a Virginia Beach native and graduate of Old Dominion University, joined Sussex Development in 2007 as a full-time Project Engineer. In 2014, she was promoted to Senior Project Engineer. In 2017, Danielle and her husband relocated to Napa, CA. Since moving, Danielle has been retained as a Consultant to our Project Engineering and Project Management departments.
Before joining Sussex Development, she spent fifteen years in medical practice management. Desiring a change in venue, she took a job managing residential rehabilitation and construction projects, specializing in pre-engineered construction. She discovered a knack for logistics and the type of organization that’s required in commercial construction. Throughout her tenure at Sussex, she has actively contributed to projects spanning from North Carolina to Northern Virginia, playing a pivotal role in some of the largest ventures undertaken by the company to date. Danielle is a strong supporter of environmental sustainability and education.
Danielle and her husband are avid hikers. Since their relocation to Napa, Danielle has also begun undertaking an education in the science and history of California wine. She also volunteers at the Senior Center near her home in Napa and acts as an Ambassador for the City during special events.
