About LeeAnn Old

LeeAnn joined Sussex Development in 2006, as an Accountant after completing her B.A. degree in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting from Virginia Wesleyan College. LeeAnn quickly implemented methods to track job costs more accurately, allowing for better reporting and final project cost auditing. In 2009, she was promoted to Controller, and named Chief Financial Officer in 2018. She is responsible for all financial and accounting operations of the company, including risk management and human resources. In 2011, LeeAnn passed the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals (CCIFP) exam to become one of the first individuals certified in the State of Virginia specializing in construction accounting.

Before joining Sussex Development, LeeAnn worked for 17-years with a large Virginia Beach based mechanical contractor. She began in an administrative support role and spent several years in an accounting position before leaving to pursue college. She is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
